Greek Fire 2.0 took third place at the District level Battle of the Books. It was a fun morning competing against the other middle schools.

Author Tyler H. Jolley came and talked with out seventh-graders about how he got started as an author. He has written over 20 books. He loves Sci-fi Fantasy. He did not really start reading until he was 22 and in Dental school. So it is okay if reading is not yet your thing. Seven of his books are available in the library. Come check one out.
Battle of the Books
Greek Fire 2.0 defended their title by winning again this year. Congrats to Elsie Porter, Amy Farrer, Finley Campbell, Gracie Dymock, Abigail Barnett, and Kristy Jessop. They will go on to the District competition where they took second place last year.
Second place winners were The Bookies. Alexis Turner, Violet Potter, Amanda Hobbs, Owen Drishinski, and Luke Roberts.
Third place winners were The Heelers. Audrey Deschamps, Seth Cox, Paige Birks, Devan Birks, MaddiLynn Richards, and Lily Mendenhall.
Parent Teacher Conferences

Thanks Parker C. Wilson, for coming and sharing the superpowers of reading and writing with our sixth-graders. He will be selling his book at the Spanish Fork library from 6-8pm Monday night. Several copies are also available at the book fair this week.
